His entrepreneurial background and dedication to mentorship have allowed him to establish IFFA as a hub for nurturing Indigenous talent and creating culturally impactful narratives.

    Audra Wise brings a wealth of experience in both education and creative production. With a career spanning roles in acting, such as her work in The Dentist 2 (1998) and Big Shots (2001), and educational programming, Audra is uniquely positioned to design IFFA’s training programs. Her ability to merge storytelling with pedagogical frameworks has been instrumental in creating programs that empower emerging Indigenous filmmakers.

    Nate Gaffney is a filmmaker and educator who specializes in exploring themes of cultural identity and community resilience. He directed the acclaimed documentary My Name Is Wolastoq, which highlights the cultural experiences of Indigenous communities. With extensive experience in facilitating workshops and mentoring young creatives, Nate plays a key role in guiding participants through hands-on filmmaking processes while fostering cultural pride.

    Desmond Simon is a multifaceted creative with experience in film production, writing, and community engagement. His work includes the heartfelt film Mitata - Grandfather, which explores intergenerational relationships and cultural wisdom. With a background as a military veteran and a deep commitment to storytelling, Desmond combines his unique experiences to inspire participants and help them create impactful projects rooted in Indigenous narratives

    Morgan Holmstrom is an accomplished actress and mentor dedicated to supporting Indigenous voices in the arts. Known for her breakout role in the series SkyMed, Morgan brings firsthand industry knowledge to IFFA’s workshops. With her experience in front of the camera and as a role model for aspiring Indigenous creatives, Morgan fosters an environment of encouragement and growth for participants navigating the film industry.
